So far…
The question of whether or not the exam will be held for the 2019 batch has also been placed on hold as a result of the official statement.
Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya declared during a conference in AIIMS Raipur on July 6 that the NExT will not be relevant for the 2019 MBBS batch. This announcement came a few days after the NMC’s formal announcement that the NExT exam would begin on July 2 through a gazette notification.
The medical community was confused by this statement and wanted an official notification that would make the exam’s specifics clear.
The NMC had previously held a webinar where it was stated that the NExT exam would be held twice a year, in May and November, for all medical institutions in India.
