DASH Diet Breakfast Recipe 1 :Berry-Almond Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients:

– 1 cup frozen mixed berries (blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, etc)
– 1 banana, peeled and frozen
– 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
– 1/4 cup almond milk
– 2 tablespoons almond butter
– 2 tablespoons honey
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Toppings:

– Fresh berries
– Chopped almonds
– Coconut flakes
– Chia seeds

Instructions:

1. Place the frozen berries, banana, yogurt, almond milk, almond butter, honey, vanilla extract and cinnamon in a blender. Blend until smooth.

2. Pour the smoothie into a bowl and top with fresh berries, chopped almonds, coconut flakes and chia seeds.

3. Serve cold and enjoy!
